By: Sr. Juliet Natinga, AR.

"Give much and you get much.....give little...you get what you give!"

The opening of the Academic Year 2007-2008 was just like a bell tolling, reminding the whole school community that classes will soon commence. Minds set, hearts throbbed… the Administration thought of making it something different and memorable.

On May 21-23 was the Recollection-Seminar of our Teachers & Staff on "Growth and Wellness" conducted by the widely known and renowned Mr. Earnest L. Tan. He was not afraid the risks of sharing his life journey - the joys and the pains he had undergone. With such interesting topic affecting everyone, the listeners had no eye to close. One faculty member said: "Thanks God, I am connected to myself again. I am well now".

We praise God for His bountiful graces and blessings bestowed upon us. God really is a great provider. On June 1-2 was the Evangelization Seminar-Workshop with Sr. Miguela Obera, A.R. as the speaker and facilitator. Nearby AR Schools were invited to join the said activities. The participants were so participative and verved.

The new students were gathered in the Talangpaz Gymnasium after the flag ceremony for the orientation on the following topics:

These activities continued in the afternoon and ended with a campus tour. The ARSC Officers actively took part  in the animations and the campus tour.

On the 8th of June, Friday, the IHMA populace celebrated the Mass of the Holy Spirit at the Talangpaz Gymn. Rev. Msgr. Esteban Binghay was impressed of the creative Liturgy. With the song, Veni Sancti Spiritus, selected high school students portrayed the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit. While the Psalmist, a new faculty member was singing the Responsorial Psalm, everybody was engrossed in deep silence. Thanks to the unique talents and creativity of the Liturgists. After the Mass, Sr. Grace, the Principal, acknowledged the availability of Rev. Msgr. Binghay and expressed her gratitude to the persons responsible for the success of the celebration.

June 17, 2007 was the PTA General Assembly. The Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Amadeo Lucero, OAR. The parents were delighted of his homily which stressed that active participation of parents in the school activities will help in the academic performance of their children.

Through the initiative and creativity of Sr. Grace to make a difference, there was a unique classroom and subject orientation of teachers to parents. The parents acted as students while the teachers presented their course outline, projects, grading system, requirements, etc. We were given ten minutes to present including our going up to and coming down from the third floor (whewww!).

June 27-29 was the Evangelization Seminar of the First Year and Transferees.
