June found the school ready for the school chores. To signify the opening of another school year, a Eucharistic Celebratioin in honor of the Holy Spirit was held on June 8 and was presided by Rev. Fr. Eusebio Solanio, Vicar priest of St. Michael Archangel Parish.
A two-day Evangelization seminar for first year students and transferees was conducted on June 26-27, 2007. Another seminar was also given to our Students Cathechists from third to fourth year levels. This two-day seminar-training was intended to prepare the forty young catechists who are determined to bring the Good News of God’s love to others. They are challenged to catechize the pupils of Jagna Central Elementary School. May the Holy Spirit work marvels in them.
The month of July was full of activities. To top them all was the celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. It is a special feast for all of us for we particularly feel bound to do some pious reckoning on our special devotion to Mama Mary. On account of the unusual love and devotion that our Mothers Foundresses had borne for her, we are encouraged to celebrate the feast of our Holy Mother, under this special title with fondest effort. The celebration was highlighted with a Eucharistic Celebration by our school chaplain, Rev. Fr. Eusebio Solanio, together with the investiture of members of the COLC. The day was also graced with flower offering to Mary, Marian singing contest, Mary-look- liked contest, games, etc. VIVA LA VIRGEN DEL CARMEN!
July 23- Paring Bol-anon Sportfest 2007. The first day of sports fest was held at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Jagna. The CMM participation in this event was manifested in their warm welcome of the school populace who held a motorcade with the participation of some school’s drummers and lyrists. Two teams of athletic priests were organized, each headed by their respective and supportive bishops who were also present during the games. They are Bishop Leonardo Medroso, Bishop of Tagbilaran City and Bishop Christian Vicente Noel, bishop of Talibon City. The 27th of July marked the culmination of Nutrition month. Participated by all private and public schools in Jagna, CMM family was the last entity in the parade but the first to give a wonderful presentation on stage. July 29 – THE SENDING OFF. “Your light must shine before others, so that they will see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.” (Mt. 5:16) As young disciples of Jesus, these young Catechists are prompt to respond to the call to be light to the children of God. The mission sending is one of such occasions in which our school signifies this willingness to shine as His light , that men may come to know Him dearly, follow closely and serve Him joyfully. GOD SPEED TO YOU ALL.
