SEMINARS

Administrations, coordinators, teachers and other academic personnel attended various seminars for this school year.  The neighboring AR schools were also invited to join with the CSR’s academic community.  The summer In-Service Seminars included the following: Academic Leadership for Coordinators, Computer Advancement Seminar, Evangelization, Speech Enrichment, Enhancement Seminar for Club Moderators and Disaster Management. The Board of Trustees sponsored a seminar on Teaching Strategies for teachers and Academic Leadership for the SAB.

FEAST OF ST. ROSE OF LIMA

This year’s theme, “Re-Rooting the Roseñan Heritage” is a follow-up of last year’s theme, “Retell and Relive the Life of St. Rose of Lima”. During the celebration of the feast day of on August 23, 2007, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass was presided by Rev. Fr. Lauro V. Larlar, OAR, president of the Board of Trustees. Part of the celebration was the induction of CSR Alumnae Officers after which the Alumnae President delivered a very inspiring message to the younger Roseñas. An Outreach Activity followed with the poor residents of our adopted barangay as invited guests!

GRADE SCHOOL FIELD TRIP

The young Roseñas together with some of their parents (grades 1-3 only) enjoyed the field trip at Leisure Farms, Lemery Batangas on August 21, 2007. All pupils from grades 1-6 had exciting moments touching the worms and playing with the mud as they planted rice with an (artificial) carabao!   They were taught how to do fishing and took the fish home. We had a good exercise as we walked through the four hanging bridges. Wow!
