ICC - 72nd Foundation Anniversary

ICC-Balayan Curricular Offerings and Standardization Updates
Immaculate Conception College (Balayan) has undergone accreditation process as conducted by CHED, TESDA and PACUCOA for the following programs: Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Ladderized Program for HRM and Computer Science, Education and Commerce (Level I). ICC has been accredited as TESDA Training Center for Job Applicants Abroad.

Sr. Modesta attended a seminar in Education in Batangas City together with some College Teachers: Mrs. Myra Absin, Miss Benilda Bantugan and Miss Anabelle Ona. This is still in connection with the College Curricular Offerings and Standardization Updates.


ICC Celebrates 72nd Foundation Anniversary
ICC’s 72nd Foundation Anniversary slated from February 12-17, 2007, opened with a gathering of fourth year students from the public schools in the town of Balayan. This activity is at the same time part of the school’s Evangelization Program considering that they are from public schools. An invited priest gave a talk to the invited youth after which refreshment followed.

During the second day of the celebration, the lCCnians attended the Eucharistic Celebration at the Immaculate Conception Parish Church which was officiated by no other than our Parish Priest, Rev. Msgr. Rafael Oriondo. On the 14th, muses and winners of the 3 departments’ beauty pageants joined the parade and in the afternoon, a motorcade has been held. On the 15th, Literary-Musical Contests were also held participated in by students coming from the different schools, both public and private, in Balayan. The Alumni closed the week-long celebration with a Mass and was followed by a night of music tripping at the ICC Gym.


ICC Hosts LIDICSA Teachers’ Day
The Lipa Diocesan Colleges and Schools Association has chosen ICC as venue for the LIDICSA Teachers’ Day last February 22, 2007. They had Mass at the ICC Gymnasium, short talks followed and lunch was served in the classrooms which accommodated close to a thousand LIDICSA Teachers.


Awards and Recognition for Teachers and Parents
In the spirit of sincere gratitude, ICC (Balayan) closed academic year 2006-2007 recognizing teachers/staff who have reached certain number of years in ICC. They received Certificate of Recognition for the services they have unselfishly rendered to the school during the graduation of the College Department. Similarly, the High School Department also recognized parents who have sent all their children in ICC from Grades I to IV Year High School. May the good Lord reward them always.

2 HS Students win STI Contests
Fourth Year High School Students: Cieleste de los Reyes, a first timer, emerged 1st Place in the Essay Writing Contest, coached by Sr. Maria Lirio and Bryan de Ia Llana got the 3rd Place for the Poster Making Contest. They bested 40 other contestants last January 26, 2007 at STI Balayan.
